Membership Qualifications

Membership for AWA is from September of each year. You must renew membership every year. Our by-laws require our members to be:

“Any woman resident of Qatar who is a citizen of the Americas (North, South, or Central) by birth

 or naturalization, or whose husband is a citizen of the Americas (North, South, or Central),

or who is a permanent resident of the Americas (North, South, or Central).”

Women who do not qualify for Full Membership may apply for Associate Membership.

“Associate membership is available to any woman resident of Qatar not eligible for (full) membership…Associate membership entitles any woman to full membership privileges with the exception of holding certain Executive Board positions…Associate membership many not exceed 40% of the total membership.”

Our meetings are open to all guests for a nominal fee.
